As we pan in on Klaus Mikaelson’s French Quarter fortress, it’s storytime once again! Klaus (Joseph Morgan) is busy dictating his epic memoirs to a compelled Cami (Leah Pipes) when Marcel (Charles Michael Davis) enters the room to find his love interest and his frenemy hanging out — though Cami seems to feel like she’s being held hostage (we can’t blame her, really).

When Marcel asks his crush what she’s doing there, Klaus let’s him in on the fact that the blond beauty already knows that the two hunky leading men are centuries-old vampires. “Don’t worry; he’s compelled me to forget everything as soon as I leave,” Cami reassures her confused almost-suiter. “That way I’m too busy agonizing over whether or not I’m losing my damn mind to realize I’m playing spy for an immortal egomaniac.” Wow, she sums up Klaus very well. Psychology degree, FTW!

Marcel decides to make it awkward and ask if Klaus compelled Cami to go out with him. “I thought you really liked me,” Marcel mopes.

“So did I,” Cami retorts. Is it just us or is it getting steamy up in here?

“To be clear, I only compelled you to give him a chance. Anything you felt for him was quite real,” Klaus says. “And, for the record, the level of awkwardness we’re all currently experiencing is entirely genuine.” Oh, Klaus…

Is there hope for Cami and Marcel? Or should Marcel stick with Rebekah? Hit the comments and pick a side!
