One of the great things about The Originals is that, no matter how badly these characters hurt one another, they still seem to spend all of their time together. In this sneak peek for tonight’s episode — Season 1, Episode 11 ("Après Moi, Le Déluge") — Klaus (Joseph Morgan) and Elijah (Daniel Gillies) are having a convo about the former’s habit of inopportune murder while an angry Davina (Danielle Campbell) smashes things off-screen.

In the 30-second vid, Klaus, Elijah, and Hayley are hanging in one of the many rooms of the French Quarter compound listening to the smashes Davina is causing from an upstairs bedroom. Seems she’s still angry about that whole Klaus-killing-Tim-thing.

“Ah, that’s going well,” Klaus says. From the extended promo, we’re guessing he’s referring to Marcel’s attempt to bring Davina some food. From what we hear, Davina is sick in bed because her powers are becoming too much for her body to handle.

Elijah isn’t surprised by Davina’s tantrum: “If you’re trying to win the girl’s trust, perhaps poisoning her one true love was not the most splendid idea,” he tells Klaus. Gotta love Elijah’s thinly-veiled sarcasm.

Klaus doesn‘t appreciate it as much as we do.“Are there any more inopportune deaths you’d like to wave in my face?” he asks Elijah.

“Give me a month. I’ll get you a list,” Elijah snarks back.

But Klaus has already moved onto another, seemingly unending source of annoyance: witches. “Young, old, dead, or alive, witches are a pain the ass,” he laments, always the drama queen. Klaus leaves the room, presumably to check on the Davina situation. Um, do you think that’s such a good idea, Klaus?

All in all, we’re even more excited to see the next installment of The Originals after watching this episode. Sure, it seems kind of ridiculous that all of these characters are under one roof, but we love the tension and sarcasm the situation provides. Bring on the drama!

The Originals airs Tuesday nights at 8 p.m. ET on The CW.
