Despite everyone’s best intentions, Davina (Danielle Campbell) stayed dead following her sacrifice for the Harvest Festival in this week’s heartbreaking episode of The Originals. However, unbeknownst to most of the French Quarter gang, the Harvest remains incomplete as Celeste took the magic meant to be bestowed back into the ancestral grounds and the accompanying witch community to raise three of her witch BFFs from the dead. Is there any chance the Harvest can still be completed?

You betcha! Executive producer Julie Plec talked Harvest-completion chances with TVLine, telling the site, “There is absolutely still a chance within the window of when it needs to be completed.”

Huzzah! If the Harvest is complete, there is still a chance that Davina can come back from the dead, which would certainly turn Marcel’s frown upside-down — this character just isn’t the same without a grin on his face. But completing the Harvest won’t be easy. According to Julie, Celeste had a distinct plan when she brought those three stylish witches back to life: “These new witches who have come back from the dead are very determined, very angry, and each of them, individually, have an axe to grind on behalf of the witches [against] the Original family,” she said. “The next few episodes are not going to be a lot of fun for Klaus, Rebekah and Elijah. They start to realize these witches were not arbitrarily chosen.”

Yikes! Will these witches actually be able to effectively battle the Original family? It certainly looks like it from this mid-season promo, which shows Rebekah as the focal point in some ritual and Klaus writhing in pain on the ground. On the other hand, we also get a shot of Klaus gouging out the eyes of the bow-tied witch. Never count the Original family out!

Do you think the Harvest will be completed? And what scheme do you think Celeste has up her sleeve? Sound off in the comments below!

The Originals airs Tuesday nights at 8 p.m. ET on The CW.
