We’ll be seeing the Mikaelsons at their most vulnerable in the February 25 episode of The Originals. With Rebekah (Claire Holt) and Klaus (Joseph Morgan) at the mercy of the witches, and Elijah (Daniel Gillies) desperate to find them, things aren’t looking so good for the Original family in the promo for Season 1, Episode 14.

Klaus is in serious, shackled pain. The promo begins with Klaus trying to escape the shackles of a hospital bed, to no avail. Presumably, the dagger is still imbedded inside of him. All the witches have to do is sit back and watch Klaus writhe. At :12, we see another shot of him in agony. Poor vamp.

Rebekah is hallucinating. Somewhere presumably close by to where the witches are keeping Klaus, Rebekah wakes up in distress at :01. She seems to be in the abandoned mental hospital executive producer Julie Plec teased Klaus and Rebekah would be held in to The Hollywood Reporter. At :05, we see Genevieve tell Celeste: “Rebekah’s awake and the hallucinations have begun."

There will be some pretty creepy imagery. The witches aren’t holding off on the spooky imagery. At :07, a frightened Rebekah asks “Who’s there?” as what looks like two other patients in hospital clothes make their way towards  her. At :11, we see the shot of a woman sitting in a tub. We don’t know why, but this image totally creepy us out.

Elijah is freaking out. While Rebekah and Klaus are being tortured by the witches, Elijah is putting himself through the more personal form of torture known as guilt. And he’s taking some of it out on Marcel. At :09, an irate Elijah tells Marcel, “Niklaus and Rebekah are somewhere suffering horribly,” while Hayley sits nearby.

Genevieve is powerful. At :13, Genevieve raises her hand towards Rebekah and the vamp clutches her head in agony with a scream. How did this witch become so powerful? And why does she have such a grudge against Rebekah? What did Rebekah and Marcel do to Genevieve all those years ago? Whatever it is, we bet she’s regretting it right about now.

The witches have a plan. We’re not sure what the witches endgame is, but whatever it is, everything seems to be going according to plan. At :13, Genevieve tells Celeste: “Just because we can’t kill them, doesn’t mean they can’t be destroyed.” Wow, these witches really hate the Original family.
