The Original family might not be the most functional family on television, but off-screen The Originals actors seem to be one big happy brood.

Even Father Mikael (Sebastian Roché) is getting in on the social media love with some pilot throwback pics of the two handsome fellows who play his estranged on-screen sons: Daniel Gillies (Elijah) and Joseph Morgan (Klaus). Check out the adorable family photos!

“Some old photos of ep.1 of The Originals that'll make you laugh, rock stars @JosephMorgan @danieljgillies,” Sebastian tweeted, along with a snapshot of Daniel and Joseph rocking out in their period costumes. Hilarious!

But Sebastian wasn’t done there. He also shared this photo of himself with Daniel, writing: “And another one from ep1 with my other son @danieljgillies,” as well as this photo with Joseph, captioned: “And another one of Original Daddy and son @JosephMorgan from last summer.” This on-screen family sure is sweet — well, when they’re off-screen.

We wonder if Sebastian’s reminiscing has anything to do with what appears to be an upcoming appearance from Mikael in both Season 1, Episode 15 (“Le Grand Guignol”) and Season 1, Episode 16? The details of his 1919 arrival in New Orleans that led to his children’s fleeing of the city seem to be coming out, which most likely mean plenty of early 20th-century flashbacks. It’s going to be epic.

Are you excited for Mikael’s return to The Originals? What do you think went down in 1919? Sound off in the comments below!

The Originals returns Tuesday, February 25, at 8 p.m. ET on The CW.
