It sounds like The Originals are about to trip the light fantastic with another ball. But will Hayley (Phoebe Tonkin) be invited? Or is this another one of those times the pregnant werewolf has to stay home while everyone else has fun? Read on to find out!

“Even the pregnant lady gets an invite to the ball #theoriginals,” Phoebe captioned the Instagram photo of herself being faux-pregnant on the set of The Originals. Per the usual, she looks gorgeous, but what really has our attention is the mention of this ball. First of all: We’re always up for an excuse to see the Mikaelsons and Co. dress to the nines. Second of all: What is this we hear about a date for Hayley? Sounds love-triangley!

Right now, there are two guys who are totally into Hayley: fiercely protective Elijah (Daniel Gillies) and werewolf beau Jackson (Nathan Parsons). We could see either of these dudes being the date in question, but we’re leaning towards the latter. Elijah is still in full-on Guilt Mode, which means he is actively trying to not piss Klaus off. Asking Hayley, aka the mother of Klaus’ unborn child, might do that. Which is so annoying.

Jackson, on the other hand, has made no secret of his interest in Hayley. Sure, he hasn’t come out and said it, but no sooner had they exchanged introductions than he was filling her in on their childhood betrothal. Maybe you should buy her dinner first? If Jackson is the guy in question, that means either the ball is on the night of a full moon so Jackson is in his human form, or Hayley has found a way to reverse the curse put on her Crescent clan of werewolves. If so, well done, Hayley. Your plans don’t normally work out.

Who do you think Hayley’s date to the ball might be? Elijah, Jackson, or someone else entirely? Do you think she’ll go? Sound off in the comments below!
