We weren’t sure werewolf hunk Oliver (Chase Coleman) would dare show his face on The Originals again after what he did to poor Rebekah (Claire Holt) in Season 1, Episode 13 (“Crescent City”). But, Chase is back on set, which means the Crescent clanner won’t stay away for long. Check out this sweet shot of Chase hanging with Joseph Morgan (Klaus)!

“Loved working with our favorite Klaus @JosephMorgan today. ;) #herecomethewolves #chasespack #werewolftakeover,” Chase tweeted yesterday, along with an adorable photo of Chase and Joseph with their arms around one another on the TVD set.

We’re super intrigued by this development, given that we haven’t seen Klaus hang with the werewolves before. Though the Original hybrid is half werewolf, he’s always eschewed his werewolf side as he was raised by his vampire family, his step-father allegedly killing Klaus’ werewolf father and his entire family when he found out about the affair that resulted in Klaus. Might Klaus be finally making an effort to explore his werewolf roots after all of these years? It certainly seems a likely possibility given how things are currently going with his vampire family.

Another likely possibility is that Klaus has some sort of power-grabbing scheme involving the werewolves in the works. According to the synopsis for Season 1, Episode 17 (“Moon Over Bourbon Street”), “Klaus offers Jackson (Nathan Parsons) a tempting deal.” Given that Jackson and Oliver are in the same werewolf clan, it follows that — if Jackson accepts the deal — Klaus and Oliver may be spending some time together. We’re sure Rebekah will love that.

The Originals airs Tuesday nights at 8 p.m. ET on The CW.
