The Originals is looking to cast some “little wolves” for an upcoming episode, and it sounds like things might get rough for the “werewolf village” they live in. What’s going on in this explosive scene?

According to this casting notice on the Tammy Smith Casting Facebook page, The Originals is casting children between the ages of 5 and 11 to play werewolf extras in an upcoming episode. And it sounds like they will be part of a pretty horrific scene: “This scene involves being part of the werewolf village and explosion takes place,” reads the notice. It specifies that “a few of the kids need to have some acting ability to react to a shocking situation (seeing a “parent” werewolf that has been injured quite badly)” and  “a few of the kids may need to look bloody for the aftermath part of the scene when people are being ‘treated for injuries’ within the scene.” Yikes! What is this werewolf village that will be undergoing such an attack?

Well, the notice specifies “no modern haircuts,” which makes us wonder if this isn’t part of a flashback scene — specifically, a flashback to what happened to Klaus’s (Joseph Morgan) clan back-in-the-day after his father discovered his wife had engaged in an affair with Klaus’ father. Rumor has it, he destroyed the village, but we do know that at least part of Klaus’s clan still resides in the NOLA bayou today. Could this be the episode in which we learn their story? We hope so! We’ve been dying to find out about the other half of Klaus’s parentage and — given his recent discoveries about his siblings — we think he might be, too.

What relevance do you think the werewolf village in the casting notice has? Do you think the scene will happen in the present or in a flashback? Sound off in the comments below!

Catch the next episode of The Originals on Tuesday, March 11 at 8 p.m. ET on the CW.
