Now that we’ve gotten that awkward episode behind us, there are brighter days ahead on The Originals, right? Wrong. If you thought tonight’s episode was rough, you haven’t seen anything yet. Season 1, Episode 17 (“Moon Over Bourbon Street”) is promising a huge shindig down in the French Quarter — and it’s going to be deadly.

Now that it’s just Elijah (Daniel Gillies) and Klaus (Joseph Morgan), we expect them to get themselves into a little bit of trouble. And who would have guessed it was time for a party? Not us, that’s for sure.

“Are you suggesting we throw a party,” Elijah asks his little bro. “The best this city’s ever seen,” Klaus retorts in the most Klaus way imaginable, with a devilish twinkle in his eye.

We don’t get to see much of the party in the promo, but we do get to see one scene: an emotional dance between Elijah and Hayley (Phoebe Tonkin). Haylijah shippers, rejoice! But the romance is definitely interrupted.

“It’s bedlam out there,” Elijah says. “Witches attacking vampires. Vampires devouring local.” We then see some crazed individuals gracing us with some blood and gore. Yuck!

“Here’s to a spectacularly boring evening,” Klaus toasts at the end of the promo, giving us the feeling that this is going to be one crazy episode. You always toy with our feelings, Klaus.
