The next all new episode of The Originals brings us fraternal machinations, parties, and a another display of Davina’s magic — unfortunately, we have to wait until April 15 to see it. In the meantime, you can check out the extended promo for Season 1, Episode 18 (“The Big Uneasy”) and revel in all of the plotting that’s sure to come.

“One never knows when a powerful witch might come in handy,” Klaus tells Genevieve at the beginning of the 30-second video. It seems that the two will still be knocking boots when the series returns from its month-long hiatus. And, it seems New Orleans is throwing a party to celebrate! In the next shot, we see a parade traipsing through the streets of the French Quarter. Later in the promo, we see Davina — dressed all in red —being helped onto a stage by Genevieve. What are the people of NOLA celebrating? Their doomed peace treaty, perhaps?

Marcel is on to Klaus’ plotting. “He’s got something going on with the witches — behind Elijah’s back,” he tells Thierry. Elijah looks suspicious, too.

“Tell me everything,” Hayley demands of Elijah. He tells Hayley not to “trust him.” Is he talking about Klaus or Jackson, her new werewolf pal? He amends his suggestion: don’t trust “any of them.” Yeah, that’s actually probably good advice.

Meanwhile, Marcel continues to build his army. Next on the recruitment list: Diego. “You gonna fight with me?” Marcel asks the big-haired vampire. We don’t get his answer, but we do see Davina demonstrating more magic — on stage at the celebration. Impressive, D. But which side will you be contributing your magical prowess to?

Klaus seems to be enjoying the plotting — and the facade of camaraderie that accompanies it. We see a montage of vampires maiming people before he quips to Elijah: “Who said maintaining alliances can’t be fun?” First sign the city is about to go to hell: Klaus’ grin.

Are you looking forward to the next episode? Will you be able to survive the hiatus? Sound off in the comments below!
