If you’ve been ignoring the fact that Father Kieran (Todd Stashwick) is hexed and facing an imminent death, you’d better wake up and smell the roses. This former leader of the human faction has been steadily falling downhill on The Originals for a while now, and it looks like things may be coming to a climax in Season 1, Episode 19 (“An Unblinking Death”). Pretty ominous, right?

Cami (Leah Pipes) has been desperate to find a way to save her uncle for quite some time now, and when she decides to do something drastic, things won’t work out in her favor. But this isn’t the only drama going down in this ep.

Out in the bayou, Elijah (Daniel Gillies) is going to witness a “horrific explosion” which will cause unrest between the many factions of New Orleans. In a surprising turn, he’s going to team up with Jackson (Nathan Parsons) to help out with the aftermath of the tragedy, giving Hayley (Phoebe Tonkin) some free time to learn a shocking detail about her family.

Check out the synopsis for the April 22 episode:

“Desperate to help Kieran, Cami insists on an unconventional treatment, but her good intentions lead Kieran to a violent episode. After Klaus (Joseph Morgan) and Elijah disagree over the best way to handle the Crescent Wolves, Elijah makes a trip to the bayou, where he is witness to a horrific explosion that only adds to the hatred and mistrust among the communities. While Jackson and Elijah work to save the wounded, Hayley learns a surprising piece of her family history from Marcel (Charles Michael Davis).”
