We’ve seen a few crossover moments between The Vampire Diaries and its sexy spin-off The Originals, but so far they’ve been contained the characters who started on the Mystic Falls-based program. Is there any chance we might see Marcel (Charles Michael Davis), a character new to the fictional universe with The Originals, make the trip to TVD in a future crossover? There is if Charles has anything to say about!

“I would like to see that, yeah,” Charles told PopSugar regarding the possibility of Marcel heading to Mystic Falls. “And I think we’re very responsive to the fans — Julie [Plec, the executive producer] is — so if the fans want to tweet about it, #crossover, #Marcel, #The Originals, #TVD.” There you have it, folks! Make it happen. Though, you’ll probably have to wait until next season for any results. TVD executive producer Caroline Dries told Zap2it: "Not this season. It is exhausting trying to schedule those guys.” #Sadness.

What other hopes does Charles have for his character? More flashbacks for one: “I’d like to see [Marcel and Klaus] hanging out through the ages. You know, we did the 1800s and the 1900s. I want to see them in the 1970s. I want to see them like tripping on LSD and acid and being like, ‘What did we do last night? I don’t know.’” So, like #crossover, #The Originals, #TheHangover? We could maybe get on board with that. And, in the meantime, it sounds like we’re about to be treated to a Marcel-themed flashback in Season 1, Episode 20 of The Originals. Charles told E! Online. "It's actually flashbacks we were going to use in an earlier episode and the great thing was they watched them and they liked them so much they said we want to put them back. I'm really grateful for that!"

So, we may have to wait on Marcel’s visit to Mystic Falls, but at least we have some flashbacks to keep us entertained in the meantime.
