The Originals has enjoyed a killer first season, which has only gotten better with each episode. We’re dying to see what goes down in the sure-to-be-epic Season 1 finale, and it sounds like it will be worth the wait. Though we still have five episodes before the season-ender, The Originals cast and crew just did its table read of the episode. What did star Joseph Morgan (Klaus) have to tweet about it?

“Today we do a table read of the finale of season one #TheOriginals A script to die for baby,” JoMo tweeted. It’s a sign of just how far gone we are on this show that we see not one, but two possible puns in that tweet. First: “a script to die for.” Does this mean that someone will actually die in the Season 1 finale? Executive producer Julie Plec has said before that both The Vampire Diaries and The Originals will see their fair share of death before their seasons are out — and some of those deaths will be main characters. Who is biting it in the Season 1 finale of The Originals?!

The second pun: “baby.” We’ve long suspected that The Originals would save the birth of Klaus and Hayley’s miracle baby and/or demon spawn for the climactic conclusion of the season, but now we know that it will be happening for sure. Earlier this week, The Originals put out a casting notice for a baby to play the baby in the Season 1 finale. And, yes, it will be a girl. So, our takeaways from this tweet: Joseph is very punny and we cannot wait for the Season 1 finale.

Joseph isn’t the first The Originals cast member to tweet about the craziness that is the Season 1 finale script. Last week, Leah Pipes (Cami) sent out this anticipation-builder in reaction to the episode: “OH MY GOD our season finale is NUUUTS! Whaaaaaaat???!!!” Leah tweeted Wednesday. OK, that’s it. We need to see this episode.

What do you think will be going down in the Season 1 finale? Who do you think might die? Sound off in the comments below!

The Originals airs Tuesday nights at 8 p.m. ET on The CW.
