File this one under “hunky supernatural dudes.” With Season 2 of The Originals already filming, we’re starting to find out some major spoilers for the show’s fang-tastic sophomore season. What’s this we hear of them taking a Teen Wolf star and turning him into a warlock? Ladies and gentlemen, say hello to Daniel Sharman!
According to E! News, Daniel has been cast in a major role for the upcoming season, playing Kaleb, “the handsome, devilish, and charming new witch in the French Quarter’s coven.” Sounds promising, doesn’t he? If Davina (Danielle Campbell) survives long enough, we’d love to see those two kiddos hook up.
“Intent on wreaking havoc, wooing women, and causing as much chaos as possible, Kaleb has been deeply wounded by a horrific family upbringing and covers his emotional bruises with a wicked sense of humor, as well as a wicked temper,” E! News says of Daniel’s character. “When you’re on his good side, there’s no better party. Get on his bad side? Well, you’ll regret it.”
But with him leaving behind his furrier self on Teen Wolf, is there any chance for Daniel to return to the MTV series in the future?
“He specifically asked that we not kill off Isaac, so that he could have the chance to return. He said he loved the role so much that he wanted to be able to come back if there was a chance,” Jeff Davis, Teen Wolf’s executive producer, said. “But he was at a position where he wanted to stretch his creative wings and I said to him, ‘Well, if we can’t convince you to come back, we’ll definitely leave the door open for you.’”
So, for now, Daniel will be embracing his new CW co-stars — though he is already on a friendly basis with one of the show’s resident hunks. What’s his connection to Joseph Morgan (Klaus Mikaelson)? The two starred in the 2011 film Immortals together, duh!
