If you were a fan of the drama that went down on Season 1 of The Originals, brace yourselves for some fangtastic news! Harlequin just inked a deal with Alloy Entertainment to produce a series of books based on the hit CW series — you know, the show with Emmy-worthy hair.

According to Mediabistro, The six-figure deal is for three novels about on the NOLA-based drama that would come out in February 2015, April 2015, and June 2015 respectively. Notice anything about those dates? These releases would coincide with the end of Season 2, meaning we have absolutely no idea what will be going down in these tomes.

What we do know is that the books — written by Josh Bank and Hayley Wagreich — will focus on the Mikaelson family and whatever supernatural warfare is going on in the Big Easy. We’ll assume that Klaus (Joseph Morgan) will be a central figure in whatever the books are about. We’ve got our fingers crossed that we might be able to learn more about what Hope and Auntie Rebekah (Claire Holt) are up to while on the lam.

While we’re waiting on these three books to come out, we’ll have to settle for watching the show on TV. Season 2 begins October 6 and will hopefully answer all of our burning questions from the explosive Season 1 finale.

Are you excited for these three books? Hit the comments and sound off!
