Season 1 of The Originals saw Klaus Mikaelson (Joseph Morgan) having a season-long fallout with former protégé Marcel Gerard (Charles Michael Davis) — but will this be changing when Season 2 begins this fall? Michael Narducci, executive producer for the Vampire Diaries spin-off spoke to TV Guide about this exact issue!

“Marcel and Klaus are in a really good place. Klaus has an agenda,” Michael told the news outlet, noting that Klaus will have to turn to his frenemy in order to take down the werewolves. “If Klaus wants to deal with the Guerreras, he’ll need someone who knows how to do that.”

Who could forget that epic reveal of the Guerreras toward the end of Season 1. Just when we thought there were enough supernatural forces and back-alley deals going down in New Orleans, another crew threw their hat into the ring for control of the French Quarter. Clearly the vampires are going to have to band together to ensure they remain on top of the food chain.

But let’s get back to what’s really important: Klaus and Marcel’s bromance! Michael goes on to tease that while Marcel won’t have memories of helping save Baby Hope, he and Klaus “will come to terms with one another in a really cool way.”

Consider our DVRs turned in, you guys! Klaus and Marcel, FTW!
