In The Secret Circle Season 1, Episode 18, “Sacrifice,” Faye and Melissa compete for attention from Grant High's hunky hockey team — with Adam's (Thomas Dekker) help! 

"Faye and Melissa are helping out Adam, who’s doing this party for the hockey team, and they’re both being flirty when Melissa decides to get Adam to help her impress some guys," Phoebe Tonkin tells TV Line. Apparently, Faye doesn't like Melissa poaching her territory, and she says, “Hang on — I’m the one who’s usually getting the guys without even using magic! So they both set out to try to one-up each other.”
