You guys, there's a traitor among us. And we're not talking about Nick Armstrong (Louis Hunter) and his tender worm brain. We're talking about the one and only Thomas "Bright Eyes" Dekker, who we fell in love with during his stint as Adam Conant on The Secret Circle.
Thomas blew our minds with his luscious lashes, delicate sobs, and general do-goodery, but now that The Secret Circle is cancelled, he has a confession: He never "clicked" with the show.
"I actually found out the show was canceled the first day of filming on [his upcoming movie] Squatters, so I feel very lucky to have something to jump into," Thomas tells The Insider. "I admire and am very grateful for the season I got of that show because I worked with such an incredible cast, but I never really felt the show and I particularly clicked in the way it was intended. Don't get me wrong, I was surprised it was canceled, but I was comfortable with moving on."
Care to elaborate, Dekks? "I don't think I'm being offensive in saying that Adam was the most underdeveloped character on the show," he continues. "Which is not at the fault of the writers — I think it was just how the narrative of the series wound up."
As far as we're concerned Adam was the perfect man, but we'll forgive Thomas for his blasphemous words — mostly because we can't wait to see what creative new projects he brings to the table next! "I would work with any of those people again," he says of his TSC castmates. "In particular, I had one of the greatest working and learning experiences on that show with Shelley Hennig [Diana Meade]. I would love to work with her again. We have a very special friendship and creative bond."
