Shailene Woodley just keeps getting busier and busier!

The Secret Life of the American Teenager star has officially been cast as Hazel in the upcoming film adaptation of the hit YA book, The Fault in Our Stars, according to EW.

“During our exhaustive search to find Hazel Grace Lancaster, I saw some stunning auditions by today’s finest young actresses,” says the film's director, Josh Boone.

“Over 250 girls read for the part, but it wasn’t until Shailene stepped in front of the camera that I truly saw Hazel for the first time," Josh continues. "It was like lightning striking."

"I can’t wait for the rest of the world to see what I have," he gushes.

The tearjerker of a book is about Hazel and Gus, two teens who fall in love after meeting in a cancer support group.

“I am absolutely thrilled that Shailene will be playing Hazel in The Fault in Our Stars,” the book's author says.

One of this film's producer's has also produced the Twilight films, which is a pretty solid pedigree to have.

Shailene can currently be seen on the final season of Secret Life. She will also be filming roles in upcoming films like Spider-Man 2 and Divergent.

Congrats, Shailene!
