The Descendants won the Golden Globe Award For Best Motion Picture-Drama at Sunday's 69th annual Golden Globe Awards.

Star Shailene Woodley was nominated for Best Supporting Actress but lost the award to The Help's Octavia Spencer. However, her co-star George Clooney did win for Best Actor in a Drama.

The Descendants won its award over Hugo, The Help, The Ides of March, Moneyball and War Horse.
