Turn around, bright eyes!
Aw, Jer-Ber. Elena’s little bro got so big and strong that in The Vampire Diaries Season 3, Episode 11, “Our Town,” he was pushed out of the nest and sent to live with some family friends. Who are these people? Where have they been all this time? Their so-called “friends” died years ago in a horrific car accident and the Gilberts are just turning to them for help now?
Anyway, we’re not quite sure how long Jeremy’s going to be MIA, but we had a few ideas about how he can keep busy while he’s leading the life of a normal. Check out our five suggestions for the little Gilbert’s Denver vacation from his problems.
Become a snow bunny
We don’t know if Mystic Falls has snow. Frankly, we don’t want to know — that town already has more henleys per capita than any town in North America. But since Jeremy’s now only miles away from the Rockies, he can do some skiing or snowboarding. Not only will it get him out of the house, it will help keep him in shape. You know how hard he worked out over the summer to bulk up and get shirtless-scene ready.
Visit the Buffalo Bill Museum and Grave
Alaric and Jeremy aren’t going to have a lot to talk about on his weekly phone calls home (the main topic of conversation in the Gilbert household right now is Klaus’ coffins — something they aren’t going to want to remind Jeremy of), but brushing up on his old West history will give them much to discuss. And hey, maybe Jeremy can turn in an extra-credit report and get those grades up.
Get a job in art gallery
Denver has plenty of little galleries where Jeremy can hang paintings and sweep the floors. Seeing all the great works of art will inspire him to keep up with his drawing, and it’s a great way for him to meet chicks.
Hook up with some ladies
Jeremy has the most tragic dating past of any Mystic Falls resident. He’s like Alaric times two, and he’s only 16. The boy needs to get some human contact, STAT. And while we’re on the subject, he needs to stop trying to MiFi Bonnie. Jeremy kissed a ghost and he liked it. Now Bonnie is eye-flirting with Jamie, and Jeremy needs to give the girl some space.
See a therapist
As if losing his parents and two girlfriends, dying and coming back to life, and having his mind tampered with weren’t enough, Jeremy just killed a hybrid. We don’t think Damon took away that memory, and even if he did, the feeling will still linger. Lest Jer turn to herbal substances again while residing in the great state of Colorado, he needs to get some professional help.
