We all know The Vampire Diaries’ Ian Somerhalder (Damon) is an advocate for animal rights, so it’s hardly shocking that a new report about celebutante Kim Kardashian sporting real fur struck a chord with the kind-hearted cutie.

While PETA is loudly slamming the soon-to-be-divorced socialite for her furry fashion faux pas with a decidedly anti-Kim billboard, Ian – sweetheart that he is – chose to express his discontent via Twitter, in a slightly more polite manner.

“I was chilly this morning but I don't need this fur...” Ian tweeted, followed by a link to Huffington Post’s story about the PETA billboard.

Aw, Ian. Way to subtly get your point across!
