Kat Graham Talks About Bonnie's Dark Magic and Elena’s Future on The Vampire Diaries

We’re so fanging excited over what’s to come in The Vampire Diaries Season 4 this fall, and we’re not the only ones. While at Wango Tango on May 12th, Kat Graham chatted with MTV about what she looks forward to with her character and particularly with Elena (Nina Dobrev).

Elena’s gonna be a vampire, and according to co-star, she’s “gonna rock it out” as one too. Kat said that while she’s seen what Nina can do as a vampire courtesy of Katherine, “it obviously has to be different” with Elena as a vamp. “She’s definitely going to bring the vulnerability of Elena to it,” but Kat’s as confident as we are that she’ll kill it, so to speak.

Kat also hinted at what’s to come for her character Bonnie Bennett next season. Following Bonnie’s surprising decision to turn her back on her ancestors in Season 3, Episode 22 and declare that she’ll no longer be controlled by the witches of yesteryear, Kat said Vampire Diaries fans can look forward to “an even stronger Bonnie, a more surprising Bonnie, a character that’s gonna make some decisions that are going to surprise people.”

While she knows some fans might hope to see a darker side of Bonnie, she said it’d have to be “justified” for her to step completely away from the good team. Let’s chew on that for a while.
