Nina Dobrev Clears Up Recent Remarks About Miley Cyrus’s Engagement

Nina Dobrev (Elena) has learned an important lesson: Don’t be quippy in magazine interviews.

The Vampire Diaries starlet recently told FASHION magazine, “Eventually I am going to marry and have a family, but not anytime soon. I’m not going to pull a Miley.”

So on top of telling the world that she and her smokin’ co-star boyfriend Ian Somerhalder (Damon) aren’t racing into marriage (boo), she also managed to insult Miley Cyrus’s recent engagement to Liam Hemsworth.

D’oh!

On August 1, Nina issued a conciliatory tweet: “Note to self, light hearted comments don't always translate in magazine articles. Big fan of @Mileycyrus - do you need a flower girl? :)”

No word on Miley’s response, but Nina probably shouldn’t hold her breath waiting for a wedding invite.
