After that (almost) too-hot-for-TV cave sex scene between Stefan and Katherine, viewers couldn’t help but envy Nina Dobrev’s body (almost as much as we wanted to touch Paul Wesley’s.) Girl has a bangin’ bod, no doubt!
But Nina doesn’t follow a super strict diet or a boring exercise plan. Instead, her secret to staying slim is simple (and one of the oldest exercise practices in the world): yoga.
“I change up my fitness routine every so often, but yoga is the one thing that stays consistent. I do yoga two to three times a week, and it’s hot yoga. I don’t want to bulk up,” she tells Examiner.com. “I like to keep it all lean.”
The lean muscle looks good, but perhaps the most rewarding part of yoga for Nina is the added stress relief. “I love yoga because it’s very calming for your body and your spirit,” she explains. “It gives you that meditative state and it’s 90 minutes where you can get away from the world and just be, and exist in the moment. I need yoga.”
