Lilly Roberson has been signed for the role of Sofie, a new love interest for Tyler. Wonder how Caroline will feel about that one.
This just in: 18-year-old actress Lilly Roberson has been cast in The Vampire Diaries.
At first, sources were convinced Roberson had landed the role of Becky, a dark and dangerous vamp from Stefan’s devilish past who reappears to reclaim her lost love.
However, Roberson, who once appeared on Without a Trace, looks far too sweet to play such an evil girl — and that’s because she’s not!
The Georgia native has actually been cast as Sofie, Tyler Lockwood’s date to Elena’s big 18th birthday bash, which we will see in the Season 3 premiere. But fans of the Tyler/Caroline romance needn’t worry: Sofie will hardly steal Tyler’s heart away from our blonde vamp. In fact, TVD producer Julie Plec teased that romantic tensions will only continue to rise between the two ill-fated lovers — and Kevin Williamson compared them to Romeo and Juliet. Oh, the drama!
And while we have nothing against Miss Roberson, we know Caroline has a temper, so is it so wrong we’re kind of hoping she gets jealous and like, rips Sofie’s head off or something? Cause Juliet would have totally killed Romeo’s date, right?
