Alaric and Damon Drink Their Problems Away in Season 2, Episode 20: "The Last Day"

Although their friendship hasn’t always made sense, Alaric (Matt Davis) and Damon (Ian Somerhalder) have managed to put aside the fact that the elder Salvatore brother turned the history teacher’s wife into a vampire. Bygones! At the end of the day, when Damon thought he was dying, Alaric wasn’t about to let his friend go.

Fast forward to Season 3, and Zap2It is reporting that all is not sunshine and picnics between the vampire and the slayer. In fact, Damon and Alaric will be fighting. And they’ll be using more than their words. It’s going to be a physical brawl between the handsome history teacher and the sexy Salvatore.

Things did look tense between the two in the sneak peek photos, but here’s to the mismatched pair putting their differences behind them and doing what they do best: drinking bourbon and trading one liners.
