The CW’s Plans to Close Its Forums Upsets Users
On December 13, The CW posted the following message in a thread on its main forum page, known as The CW Lounge:
The CWTV.com Lounge Message Boards will be closing on Wednesday, December 14th.
The conversation continues on our active FACEBOOK pages. “Like” them now: cwtv.com/facebook <http://cwtv.com/facebook>.

Thank you for being valued community members and CW Viewers!
Many forum users were both surprised at the short notice and upset that the forum they’d been posting on daily was closing. “You tell us the day before it happens! That's real classy!” wrote one user. Another agreed: “I am disgusted and hugely disappointed by this decision, and would like an explanation please. You are giving us no notice, and breaking up communities that have been here for years.
“I have no interest in discussing my views on the show over Facebook where everyone I know in real life can see. Sorry but this is my private pleasure,” vented one poster. Fans of shows from 90210 to The Vampire Diaries were distressed that there was little time to get contact information from those they’ve posted to and known solely on The CW’s message boards. Many users vowed to take their discussions not on Facebook but at the WB forums, which can be found here.
