The Vampire Diaries

Damon (Ian Somerhalder) gets naked so often on The Vampire Diaries, it can be hard to keep track of all his nude scenes. (Not that we’re complaining.) We were pretty convinced that Elena’s (Nina Dobrev) “startling discovery” about her kissing partner’s “latest indiscretion” was him waking up with Rebekah (Claire Holt). However, TV Guide is hinting that Damon’s much touted naked scene is actually with Sage (Cassidy Freeman) in Season 3, Episode 16, “1912.”

Freeman tells TV Guide that her character will be “pretty badass” — she knows all about the Originals, in fact — and that she’ll be in some “compromising positions.” As the name of the episode implies, Sage will be seen in flashbacks, where she could easily be hooking up with a turn-of-the-century Damon. (As well as some of the O.V.s; who knows?) But we’re a little skeptical that this is the vampire Elena finds out about. As Nina Dobrev told TV Guide back in January, “I can't say whether or not I'm in that scene, but it is a character fans are familiar with and Elena will definitely have an opinion on it.” Even if Elena were the über-jealous type, she can’t very well get mad about a hundred-year-ago hookup. Plus, Sage is hardly a vampire we’re familiar with. Maybe all this means is we’ll have two naked-Damon scenes to look forward to.

In other confusing news, E! is shooting down its own spoiler about an epic kiss at the Originals’ ball in Season 3, Episode 14, “Dangerous Liaisons.” Bummer. Regardless, E! says it’s nothing but drama for the Salvatores-Elena love triangle, and Klaus (Joseph Morgan) is trying hard to win over Caroline (Candice Accola). How’s he going to top that diamond bracelet? He should’ve started with something simple, like a Build-a-Bear, and worked his way up to sparkly jewelry.
