We’ve grown attached to the Mikaelsons in a remarkably short time, and now that Klaus’ (Joseph Morgan) fate is tied to the rest, we’re having minor heart palpitations at the thought of them all being wiped out in one fell swoop.
Elena (Nina Dobrev) expressed some regret about lying to Elijah (Daniel Gillies) when she lied to his face then toasted him in Vampire Diaries Season 3, Episode 14, “Dangerous Liaisons,” but it’s not like she knocked the glass out of his hand. Yes, Klaus is a relentless killing machine, but isn’t there some other way to stop him without betraying Elijah?
