When it comes to promo photos, The Vampire Diaries sticks with what works: Elena (Nina Dobrev), Damon (Ian Somerhalder), and Stefan (Paul Wesley) posing together, looking gorgeous in various settings.
Season 4’s shot is a little more sinister, however. The trio is situated in a cemetery, which really isn’t that unusual, when you think about how the series started. But when you think about how close Elena came to having a funeral of her own in the Season 3 finale, well, it definitely takes on a new meaning.
