Vampire Diaries Season 4 Spoilers: How Much Fun Will Elena Have as a Vampire?

Other than the mass killings, blood drinking, and constant threat of vampire hunters, being a vamp seems pretty great!

But, as you may have noticed from The Vampire Diaries Season 4, Episode 1, “Growing Pains” promo photos, Elena (Nina Dobrev) seems a little — oh, how do we put this — seriously serious about being serious.

Worry not, Mystic Falls fans! Executive producer Julie Plec told TV Guide that we’re going to see the fun, the bloody, and all the in-betweens of what it means to be a baby vampiress.

"She's going to go through a little bit of everything,” Plec said. “One of the things we set out to do this year was to show the experience becoming of vampire — highs, lows, warts and all."

We’re wondering if one of those highs involves Elena having a very human moment and doing a keg stand at a party, because, guess what? That’s actually happening this season. (We’re guessing in Season 4, Episode 4, “The Five,” because that’s when Elena shops for victims at a frat party.)

See, Elena: being a blood-sucker really isn’t so bad after all!
