The Vampire Diaries

The photos that were released for The Vampire Diaries Season 3, Episode 14, “Dangerous Liaisons” were pretty shocking. Not only did it make our Foriginal ‘shipping hearts go boom, there was major Stelena andDelena action. These love triangles are bittersweet agony!

There was fallout from Damon (Ian Somerhalder) and Elena’s (Nina Dobrev) kiss in the form of Stefan (Paul Wesley) punching his brother in Season 3, Episode 12, “The Ties That Bind.” Clearly, The Ripper is beginning to feel some regret over threatening to vampirize his ex-girlfriend and telling her not to care about him anymore. What better place to reconcile than a ball held by your archenemy? Klaus (Joseph Morgan) is throwing a party and Elena has two chaperones — the Salvatore brothers. Based on the synopsis for the episode, we know Damon leaves disappointed and wakes up, um, not alone. Or clothed. His abysmal feelings could stem from what looks like a potential rekindling between Stefan and Elena, but we doubt the two exes will be hopping back into a relationship so quickly.

While Elena isn’t one to hold a grudge — she forgave Damon for killing her brother after all — Stefan’s dirty work with Klaus is far from over. While he remains hell bent on revenge, Elena isn’t going to give him free pass to continue to act like a monster. She only kissed Damon after he took a break from snapping necks and tearing out hearts. (Except for hybrids, of course.)

We think an important step toward Elena forgiving Stefan for all his bad, bad deeds will be him mending his relationship with Damon. The brothers are due for a make-up session, but we’re guessing we won’t see a Stelena make-out before then.
