Cassidy Freeman has been cast as Sage on The Vampire Diaries.
As if there weren’t enough love triangles on The Vampire Diaries, new girl Sage (Smallville’s Cassidy Freeman) is stirring up some feelings — and trouble — on some upcoming episodes. At first she’ll appear in flashback in Season 3, Episode 16, “1912,” but TV Guide reports she’ll also show up in present day Mystic Falls.
For those of you who weren’t fans of the Rebekah (Claire Holt)/Damon (Ian Somerhalder) hookup, there could be more bad news ahead. Sage has a history with both Damon and the Originals: back in the day, her “allure” was felt by all of them, TV Line reports. So what will that mean when Sage strolls back into town? "She comes back for good reasons, but she is [out] for herself,” Freeman tells TV Guide.
We’re thinking old love triangles die hard.
