Handsome devil.
There’s been a lot of buzz about a potential love connection between Klaus (Joseph Morgan) and Caroline (Candice Accola) (aka Foriginal) on The Vampire Diaries, and as exciting as that might be, it obviously begs one massive question: Can the badass Original really fall in love?
Well, according to what Mr. Morgan told TV Guide, yes, they can! Klaus and Elijah (Daniel Gillies) once lamented lost love, so we know it’s been done before. "We're going to learn more about his past and what would've made him so closed-off," says Morgan.
But if you’re hoping for a Klaus romance sometime soon, don’t hold your breath. Getting that horrible of a villain to trust again will be no easy feat. "The one thing he has to learn how to do is trust,” Morgan tellsTV Guide. “He doesn't have it in him at the moment. Because of the betrayal of his family, his father, and everybody who's abandoned him he started to build friendships and relationships based on fear and anger instead. If he can learn to trust, then he has a chance at loving again."
We’re hoping we’ll get a glimpse of the ex-lover who tore Klaus’s heart out (not literally, obviously). Perhaps it’s Sage, the latest bad girl addition to the Vampire Diaries’ family, who is slated to pop up in flashbacks in Season 3, Episode 16 and who has been described as a ““sexy and fearless [female], with a devilish smile.” Come on. That sounds just like Klaus’s type!
