The Vampire Diaries

Back in December, Pretty Little Liars’ Torrey DeVitto told us she’d be sticking around The Vampire Diaries for awhile and she hoped Meredith and Alaric (Matt Davis) had a chance for romance. “I hope that it’s more than just a rebound because it sounds like he needs something that actually lasts for a little bit and doesn’t end so tragically,” said Torrey. Thus far, she’s only scheduled to appear in five episodes, and that might be making her a little nervous. In a new interview with Hollywood Life, Torrey said she believes Meredith’s death is inevitable, adding, “How long can I really last on this crazy, supernatural show? I’m just thankful I’ve lasted this long.” We are too, because we’re digging the love between these day drinkers.

But don’t forget there’s a murderer on the loose, making Mystic Falls even more dangerous. As we learn more about Meredith’s character, her family history will start to figure into the equation. “Her being a Fell will definitely play into the drama,” promises Torrey. Aunt Jenna’s (Sara Canning) ex, Logan Fell, was Meredith’s cousin, so she may not be excited to learn her new boyfriend was the one who ultimately staked him.

Torrey’s PLL duties might be keeping her busy, but we hope Meredith manages to evade death for at least a bit longer. We’re sure Torrey’s husband, Paul Wesley (Stefan Salvatore), wouldn’t mind having her on set more often as well!
