Ian’s bedhead is adorable. How does Nina Dobrev manage to stand next to him without her knees going weak?
There’s no denying The Vampire Diaries cast are a rather tech-savvy bunch. Just this week two TVD actors jumped on the Twitter bandwagon (sup, Joseph and Paul?). But as exciting as that is, we still gotta give props to the OGs (or should that be OVs?) who have been holding it down on the social media plane since the very beginning. Namely, Ian Somerhalder (Damon) and Nina Dobrev (Elena).
With that being said, we’re proud to announce both Nina and Ian are up for Shorty Awards, an honor given to top dogs in social media for producing awesome “short real time content.” There are tons of official categories from fashion to politics, and a slew of other crowd-sourced categories, too. (Nina and Ian are up for the #actress and #actor categories, respectively. And obviously.) With Ian’s thoughtful tweets and endless efforts to use social media to create positive change, we think he so deserves it! And Nina — who uses her tweets to promote her co-stars and, you know, practically crashes the Internet in the process — aint doin’ such a bad job herself.
