Will There Be a New Vampire Hunter in Vampire Diaries Season 4?

Mystic Falls has been crazier than usual (and that’s saying a lot), and Steven R. McQueen hopes to see Jeremy step up now that his caretaker Alaric (Matt Davis) is disturbed and dangerous — by doing some slaying in The Vampire Diaries Season 4.

In a new interview with Young Hollywood Studios, Steven spills that he’d like to see Jer “embrace the whole vampire-hunting thing. You know, it’s part of his family legacy, and he’s fallen in love with vampires. But his destiny, his family legacy, is to hunt.”

Much as we love (most of) the vamps of Mystic Falls, seeing young Jeremy tote that crossbow around town could be pretty fun.

Steven also said that he’s “optimistic” that Jeremy and Bonnie (Kat Graham) reconcile. Sorry, Jamie! As for Elena (Nina Dobrev) exploring her feelings for Damon (Ian Somerhalder), Steven thinks his on-screen sister’s taste in men is pretty amusing.

“I like that she started hooking up with somebody that’s killed me twice,” he joked. “I think at the end of the day, I want to keep my sister safe, and being involved with all this supernatural stuff, it always poses a threat to her.”

Sounds like someone wants Elena to date Matt (Zach Roerig)!
