Damon loved his vamp maker Katherine with a fierce devotion and he has spent the last century trying to find her. It was this search that brought him back to Mystic Falls last year where he met his little brother’s girlfriend, Elena — who happens to be a dead-ringer for Katherine. A sadistic slut puppy on the surface, we think Damon could go monogamous with a girl like Katherine or Elena. But in the meantime, he’ll go on treating women like playthings. Boo.
But don’t sell this vamp too short! Damon can (and occasionally does) do good. After all, he did save Stefan from a mob of tomb vampires! Though, trust us: this dude only does an honorable deed if it behooves his vampire self... and somehow involves Elena.
