The Voice 2013 Recap: Night Two and Still Kicking! (3/26/2013)

After an impressive premiere, The Voice Season 4 is back for a second premiere night of the spring 2013 cycle. In tonight’s March 26 episode, new coaches Shakira and Usher are now settled into their new roles, and returning coaches Adam Levine and Blake Shelton are more than ready to give them a hard time.

In the March 25 premiere, we welcomed seven new artists, but tonight’s episode is only one hour, so let’s make it count! We do know that soulful singer Sarah Simmons will wow the coaches with her rendition of Joan Osborne’s “One of Us” (check out the sneak peek).

And though the song is often performed on reality competitions, Sarah’s version gets all four coaches to push their buttons and proceed to beg for her. Sigh, if only we could trade places with that lucky lady.

The coaches will be recruiting their favorites to join their teams of 12. And once the blind auditions are complete, we’ll move on to the nail-biting battle rounds, sudden-elimination knockout rounds, and then the live shows!

It seems like years away, but before you know it, someone will be crowned the Season 4 victor. Coach Blake Shelton has won the last two years, but will Season 4 break his streak? Newbies Shakira and Usher will definitely try to give him a run for his money, and Adam Levine’s “I will light myself on fire” technique isn’t to be overlooked.

So who will move on and who will be sent packing? Guess you’ll have to tune in at 8 p.m. ET on NBC to find out!

Join our live recap of tonight’s Season 4 blind auditions starting at 8 p.m. ET!
