The Voice 2013: Season 4 Premiere Ratings Top Season 3!
It’s a new season of The Voice, and with it comes new coaches and a whole new ratings game. Last night’s Season 4 debut didn’t disappoint with some impressive numbers to match the top-tier talent pool.
The Sept. 10, 2012 Season 3 premiere earned a 4.2 rating, but many critics are comparing this spring’s number’s to last spring’s record-breaking 6.7 rating. The one key difference? Season 2 of The Voice directly followed the 2012 Super Bowl.
It’s hard to top that placement.
However, this season already shows lots of promise, with new coaches Shakira and Usher getting an overwhelmingly warm welcome from fans and veteran coaches Adam Levine and Blake Shelton.
The promotion of Season 4 hasn’t gone unnoticed either. Host Carson Daly has appeared on The Today Show two days in a row with coaches Usher and Blake Shelton to promote the premiere week in addition to endless advertisements and plenty of cross-promotion on fellow NBC shows.
And with the satisfying episode we saw last night, the sky’s the limit this season! Do you think The Voice will pull in solid ratings all season? Tell us below!
