2012 CMA Awards: Blake Shelton’s Wife, Miranda Lambert, Wins Female Vocalist and Song of the Year!
They don’t call The Voice’s Blake Shelton and his wife, Miranda Lambert, a country power couple for nothing — the duo swept the 2012 Country Music Association Awards last night!
In addition to their dual Song of the Year award for her hit single that they co-wrote, “Over You,” Miranda also took home the coveted Female Vocalist of the Year statute, beating out frontrunner Taylor Swift, CMA host Carrie Underwood, Kelly Clarkson, and Martina McBride!
While she didn’t pick up the awards for Album of the Year or Music Video of the Year, four nominations is still quite the accomplishment.
Did you watch the awards last night, and were you surprised at Miranda’s wins? Tell us below. You can also click here to see which major awards her husband, Blake, took home!
