The Voice Season 3 ended in December 2012, but it feels like ages since we’ve heard from winner Cassadee Pope. But fans have nothing to worry about. The pop rock singer (who’s gone a bit country) has only taken a bit of time off to work on her new album./

There’s no official release date yet, but Cass is currently in the middle of a radio tour where she’s performing some of her new tunes.

On May 1, she performed in Nashville, Tenn. at WSIX Direct Auto Insurance Garage where a fan recorded The Voice winner singing five new songs “Easier to Lie,” “Wasting All These Tears,” “Good Times,” “Champagne,” and “Break Your Heart.”

Naturally, these new songs show off Cassadee’s impressive vocal range and powerful belts. It’s also clear that her time on Team Blake Shelton has made a definite impression. The former pop rocker has plenty of country influences seeping into her sound these days, especially on the tune “Good Times.”

Personally, we’re loving the singer’s new music and sound. Hopefully she’ll release this new music sometime soon — say around the time she starts her summer tour with Rascal Flatts?
