One of the biggest travesties of The Voice Season 3 was when eclectic artist De’Borah was eliminated before she really had a chance to shine. But that hasn’t stopped her from making the most of her post-Voice career.

Wetpaint Entertainment caught up with the singer at GMCLA's (Gay Men’s Chorus of Los Angeles) The Voice Awards where she dished about her life after the cameras stopped rolling and her thoughts on this season.

Wetpaint Entertainment: How's life been since The Voice?

De’Borah: Life has been fast. I've been in the fast lane so far, and I'm kind of forgetting how to sleep now.

What's happening work wise?

Well, I was signed to WuLi Records, and I released a song. It's called "Coming Out Looking Good," exclusively on iTunes. So you can get that. I've been everywhere like the anti‑bullying rallies. Anything that has to do with the children, right now. I'm all about saving the kids. I'm number four of ten, if you guys remember, and my younger siblings need to be in a safe environment. So I'm all for it.

How did the iTunes release go?

Whoo. Let's say when I dropped it, I was cool, and then out of nowhere, I had like 60 gigs playing. So I'm like booked up for the year so far, and that's dope. Yeah, I'm happy.

So dreams come true?

Oh, definitely come true. All you have to do is dream.

What do you think of this season of The Voice?

I'm Michelle Chamuel all the way. Yes. That's my girl. I love her style. I love her voice, and she can capture me. And I care about a story, and she definitely tells a story. So she's my pick along with Sasha [Allen], I must say. Sasha because we have the same roots, and she can sang her butt off. So those two really captured my eye, not taking anything away from anyone else.

Is it weird to watch it without Christina Aguilera and Cee Lo?

Yes, it is. I'm still waiting on them to just show up randomly, and they never do. But Christina's doing her thing. I don't know if you've been watching the NBA playoffs, but she's all over the commercials, and I'm proud of her.

What do you think of Shakira and Usher?

I love Shakira. She speaks fast, you know, and she speaks diva fluently too. So I'm going to give her that, but Usher, he's laid back, cool, my kind of guy, you know. I think if I was on the show I might have picked him.

Are you looking forward to Christina and Cee Lo coming back?

Please. I mean, it's Xtina. She deserves to have her chair. I'm not taking nothing away, but I love her, and she needs her chair and Cee Lo. I love Cee Lo.

So what's next for you?

I'm going to release another single, and then I'm thinking, album. It's about time.

You've got the songs ready?

Oh, yeah. I've been practicing. I've been practicing, debuting some of my tunes. Like I debuted a tune last night, and it went over well, so I'm just living in this fast lane. I'm going to see what happens. I'm going to go and sing from The Voice tonight, "Who Knew," and then I'll sing, "Stand Up for Love" with the outside voices.

What does it feel like to feel so accepted for who you are? I'm sure the show helped, but even to be accepted on the show.

What does it feel like? I'm still amazed at it. I mean, sometimes I still keep my shell just in case, and I realize I don't need it any more. So just like environments today, this is beautiful. I cannot believe I'm here, and I can't believe it's OK. To be normal. This is my kind of normal. I'm at home.
