Good news, Voice fans! Our favorite talent show won a major victory this week by beating its biggest competition, American Idol, in the ratings on both Monday and Tuesday night! Somewhere, Usher is crying happy-tears onto his sweat-soaked leather jacket.

The Voice's executive producer, Mark Burnett, is thrilled about the latest numbers, and thinks his show came out on top because the coaches are all about peace, love, and hips that don't lie.

"I felt that in the first three seasons the audience had gravitated toward The Voice mainly because it's a kinder show," Burnett said during a recent interview with The Wrap. "There's no humiliation on it. I feel that that's very, very important with audiences. And also our coaches are very, very current in their careers. I feel like it's become young America's favorite show.

It's definitely accurate to say that coaches on The Voice are extremely supportive of their talent, but we're not sure Mariah Carey, Keith Urban, or Nicki Minaj would appreciate the implication that they're washed-up hasbeens. Then again, there's no denying that Shakira, Blake Shelton, Adam Levine, and Usher are at the top of their game.

This is the first time The Voice has beaten Idol in the ratings this season in key demo, and hopefully fans will continue to show their love in the weeks to come!
