On May 27, Team Blake Shelton‘s country duo The Swon Brothers sang “Seven Bridges Road” by The Eagles on The Voice 2013. Being the only duo to make it this far in the competition, The Swon Brothers took a challenging song that pushed their country sound into a bluegrass genre. Blake advised the brothers to be as spot-on as they could as one could make the other sound off.

Coach Usher thought that the song was an “incredible song at an incredible time by an incredible group.” Usher felt that the song was a great choice in the wake of Oklahoma’s tragedy and coach Shakira felt that the brothers were able to capture the classic Eagles harmonies.

Coach Adam Levine believed that The Swon Brothers did a great job, however he noted that there were subtle moments where the brothers seemed a bit scared of the song, but he enjoyed their performance nonetheless. As always, coach Blake Shelton was proud of the brothers for showing off their versatility by choosing the challenging number, making it their own, and displaying who they are as artists and as people.
