Last night proved to be a tough one for The Voice’s Adam Levine. The coach saw his last artist, Amber Carrington, go home as two of frienemy Blake Shelton’s contestants advanced to the finals.

But when E! News caught up with Adam, he was in good spirits about the whole thing, even joking about his buddy.

“Blake’s head can’t really get any bigger,” Adam told the site. “It’s max capacity right now. It’s got no more space to grow.”

And as for the loss of his final contender, Adam has nothing but pride for Amber’s accomplishments.

“I was shocked when I lost Judith and Sarah in one fell swoop,” he admitted. “That was upsetting. It’s so close to the end at this point that you’ve got to just celebrate things. Amber told me she wanted to crack the Top 10 on iTunes and she did so that’s a huge accomplishment. It’s fun to be a part of this show, and I know Amber feels good about it. She’s not going to be crying herself to sleep. She’s going to be realizing, ‘Oh my God, I made it very far on this show.’”

Amber reinforced Adam’s comments when she spoke with the site saying, “I’m so proud with how far I’ve come, and I’m looking forward to the future. Everyone’s so amazing at this point, I have no idea who is going to win.”

We’re happy to see these two have a positive attitude about the whole thing. Are you surprised Amber didn’t make it into the Top 3? Tell us below!
