The Voice is America's top music competition show, with dozens of overseas counterparts, and these days celebs are clamoring to get a spot in the spinning red coaches' chairs.

The latest singer who wants to take a seat atop a red throne? Former Spice Girls singer Mel C., aka Sporty Spice.

Mel C. told Britain’s The Telegraph that she would love to take over on The Voice UK for recently departed coaches Jessie J or Danny O’Donoghue.

“I’d absolutely love to do The Voice,” Sporty Spice told the newspaper. “I really enjoyed being a judge on Superstar and television is exciting and a new thing for me.”

The show hasn’t announced its new coaches panel yet, but we’d love to see the Spice Girl return to TV. Her former bandmate Mel B., aka Scary Spice, is currently a judge on America’s Got Talent, so we’re sure she’d be happy to give her friend some coaching pointers.
