Voice coach Usher and his ex-wife, Tameka Foster, squared off in an Atlanta courthouse on August 9 for primary custody of their two children, following a pool accident with their youngest son, Usher Raymond V. Ultimately, the judge dismissed Tameka’s request and in a surprising turn, Usher hugged his sobbing ex-wife.
On August 5, Tameka and Usher’s son was sent to a hospital after nearly drowning in the pool at the singer’s home. The boy was rescued by two workers, and is currently in the hospital recovering before being released.
Usher was awarded primary custody of the two boys back in August 2012, and Tameka hoped that her claims of Usher (who was not present at the time of the accident) being an “absent father” would help her case, but the court favored Usher.
