Though last night’s performances on The Voice 2013 weren’t quite as impressive as the premiere week, there was still an abundance of talent (and we still have no plans to watch The X Factor).

From George Horga Jr. and Justin Blake’s tales of the American dream to Briana Cuoco working hard to step out of her sister, actress Kaley Cuoco’s, shadow, last night ended up being pretty inspirational.

But no one impressed us more than 15-year-old Timyra-Joi. This tiny spitfire had a bold voice, reminiscent of a young Christina Aguilera. In addition to going through some tough financial times and eventually moving in with her vocal coach, Timyra-Joi had a genuine light and air of positivity about her.

She sang better than the majority of artists auditioning for this show at half their age. We can’t wait to see what Xtina does with this prodigy, considering she’s basically at the same level as the pop diva was at that age (minus the Mickey Mouse Club).
